Information for Workshop Speakers

Selection of Workshop Speakers

Workshop speakers will be selected by Workshop Chairs after the close of abstract submissions. Up to six abstracts from each Workshop will be selected for oral presentation, with generally 10-12 minutes allocated to each presentation plus 3-5 minutes for questions.

Authors will receive invitations to give oral presentations as soon as possible after the closing date, and are urged to accept or reject the offer as soon as possible, to allow the programme to be compiled. It is important to check your email during this period. If we do not receive replies to invitations within a reasonable period of time, offers will be withdrawn and another speaker invited.

Audio-Visual Guidelines

Available on the AudioVisual Guidelines page.

Expenses

Please note: HUGO regrets that it is unable to pay travel, accommodation or registration expenses for Workshop Speakers. (Young researchers please check the Support page)

You should only accept an invitation to give an oral presentation if you have already secured travel and other expenses. Please do not ask HUGO for expenses, fellowships, bursaries, etc. after accepting.
