Support for Young Researchers

Accommodation Support
HGM National Organisers are delighted to be able to announce that there will be up to 100 places which will be made available FREE for students and young researchers from the Asia-Pacific region. All candidates must submit an abstract.
Important : you must have funding to cover your travel to Hyderabad. This award cannot be combined with the other awards - if you are applying for one - you cannot apply for another.
So - submit your abstract now, beat the deadline (21 June), and make sure you are considered for this support!
Travel Support
Professor Samir Brahmachari and the National Organising Committee are delighted to be able to offer Limited Travel Support to enable Young Researchers to attend HGM2008. This travel support is for $500 (maximum) per applicant. Applicants must submit an abstract. (Please note $500 is the maximum amount, and delegates must still register and pay their registration fee).

Support for Canadian Young Researchers
The HGM2008 organisers are delighted to announce that Genome Canada have generously offered to provide up to 100 free registrations for Canadian students and young researchers attending HGM2008. Applicants must submit an abstract.
Important : you must have funding to cover your travel to, and accommodation in, Hyderabad. This award cannot be combined with the other Awards - if you are applying for one - you cannot apply for another.
So - submit your abstract now, beat the deadline (21 June), and make sure you are considered for this support!
How to Apply
Applicants (conditions for students/young researchers is the same as for registration - see below) must submit an abstract and preference will be given to those whose abstract is selected for an oral presentation. If you wish to be considered for any of the above support options, send an email to the Local Organisers at hgm2008@igib.res.in, and to the HUGO London Office at cathy@hugo-international.org quoting your abstract submission number and stating you wish to be considered for support.
* Young Researchers must submit an official university certificate or letter, in conjunction with their application, which confirms their status. Documentation must be faxed to the HUGO Secretariat. Documentation must come from a supervisor, departmental head, or graduate school officer. A Young Researcher is defined as a person who is no more than two years beyond the granting of their Ph.D. by 31 April 2008.
Eligibility
* Young Researchers must submit an official university certificate or letter, in conjunction with their application, which confirms their status. Documentation must be faxed to the HUGO Secretariat. Documentation must come from a supervisor, departmental head, or graduate school officer. A Young Researcher is defined as a person who is no more than two years beyond the granting of their Ph.D. by 31 April 2008.
