HGM2008
Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to host the 13th Human Genome Meeting in India. We extend a warm invitation to all the genomics researchers to participate in this meeting at Hyderabad between 27th and 30th September 2008.
This meeting is special as HUGO turns 20 in 2008. It has amply served its mandate, making the genome sequence an open source, being the major landmark that has catalysed genomics research in the the world, including the developing nations. This is also a time to forecast the future direction of genomics research in the exciting times of personalised genome sequencing, throwing its share of surprises. In this context, the genetic diversity of the Indian population provides a unique resource for delineating complex disease aetiology and pathogenesis.
We invite professional companies to showcase their products to genomics researchers from all over the world, through sponsorship and exhibition stalls during the meeting. It will also be our privilege to receive proposals for satellite meetings from anyone wishing to hold such meetings in association with HGM2008.
We invite you to a great meeting and offer a substantial slice of the diversity of India. We look forward to your active participation to make this a very memorable HGM2008.
